The news broke last week that Aaron Peirsol had retired, but here is the greatest ever Backstroker explaining his decision.
A year ago I named Peirsol as the 6th best swimmer of the 2000s. After watching his interview I feel like I might have short-changed him a couple of places.
He will be greatly missed!

He's still young and on his game.
It's disappointing to see him go, but he will always be a great champion.
