Bad sportsmanship for sure, but a win is a win.

  1. Surely the guy who swam it all underwater should have got them a DQ?

  2. I'm assuming the relay got DQ anyways for bad sportsmanship.

  3. Third swimmer did not surface at the 15 meter mark, a clear disqualification. All around bad sportsmanship for which the coach and parents of these boys should be called on the carpet.

  5. First swimmer should've been DQ'd for the false start. The second may have pushed off the bottom after the sommersault. Third didn't surface before 15 meters.

What's really gauling is the comments by the parents that can be heard on the video. They think it's "cool" and were condescending to the parents yelling for the DQ's.

Sounds like the officials DQ'd the relay, but the whole team and coach should've been disqualified from the meet for blatant bad sportsmanship.

Plus the coach should also be reprimanded by the team's league for allowing the third swimmer to swim the 50 underwater. That's a serious safety issue, even if the swimmer took a breath at the 25. What if the kid had passed out? Would the parents on the video thought it was "cool" then?

I hope the league took some hard action against the coach and team.

  6. Wow, what jerks. But you know when they go to college they'll be stomped by the real swimmers... If they go to college that is.
