Some had him high, some had him low...some had him out of the top 10 altogether! If there were anybody who I could see having such a wide variety it would be him. Still so strange to think of him as one of the best 100 freestylers in the world (even if the individual final didn't pan out with him as gold - the relay split was unbelievable).Braden Keithhttp://swimswam.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1250367211605373057.post-6834938720457037262013-01-10T08:57:16.131+00:002013-01-10T08:57:16.131+00:00Imagine Sun Yang ranked only No.5, with two indivi...Imagine Sun Yang ranked only No.5, with two individual golds 'creamed' in Olympic records 400 and 1500 free and topped with a world record by 3 sec. I don't think they are that many swimmers in swimming history are able to do that in these two events in style!in Olympics competition. It took 10 years to break the great OZ of 1500M during of which high tech suit failed to breach his 'unassailable mark'until the impeccable and amazing SY in Shanghai ,WC 2011. OZ's world record feat happened once only in Japan WC! So ranking him 5th in the ladder of achievement and performance 2012 swimming clearly show that he in same league as pathetic and racist US's Leonard.bk1688https://www.blogger.com/profile/01700972267582757272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1250367211605373057.post-37760780332604236532013-01-07T18:58:27.341+00:002013-01-07T18:58:27.341+00:00Only one vote for Schmitt despite comprehensively ...Only one vote for Schmitt despite comprehensively destroying arguably the strongest field ever assembled in the women's 200, almost winning the 400 and then dominating the anchor leg of the 4X200 relay in a way that made it look like a shark among minnows? She even swam a very respectable anchor in the medley. Kromowidjojo and Lochte are both too low as well. Best of the year has to go to Agnel, IMO. That guy was a danger to win any event he cared to compete in this year. His anchor in the 4x200 relay was a thing of beauty.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08577566943888080387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1250367211605373057.post-59480838111027448792013-01-07T08:33:17.852+00:002013-01-07T08:33:17.852+00:00I'd say he's doing the opposite - he's...I'd say he's doing the opposite - he's trying to show how ridiculous the Ye Shiwen discussion is. Neither girl deserves the treatment that Ye has received, there is no evidence for either of them doping, so we should leave it to the drug testers to do their job. (He wouldn't have put Ye so far up his list if he believed she had cheated, so he clearly believes that neither did)Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15316737373015140935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1250367211605373057.post-54536612024311659142013-01-06T20:37:29.061+00:002013-01-06T20:37:29.061+00:00A Dane dragging Ledecky into the Ye Shiwen discuss...A Dane dragging Ledecky into the Ye Shiwen discussion...talk about petty politics.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
