That would more than make up for the awful misjudged Beijing performance.Kathttp://tumblrturns.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1250367211605373057.post-3304056791319878242010-10-08T00:47:05.141+01:002010-10-08T00:47:05.141+01:00I actually do agree with you that Hayden is the be...I actually do agree with you that Hayden is the best sprinter in the world today. I still believe that Adrian was the best sprinter in the world in August, and with Bousquet's 100 performances (or lack thereof), it is hard to argue (I feel). Right now, no one can argue that Hayden is the best sprinter in the world, and he will leave Commonwealth Games the best sprinter in the world as long as he does two things in the 50: 1) breaks 22, and 2) wins a medal. Both seem near assured.

That said, he's not a lock for gold, with Sullivan, Callus, Schoeman and maybe even Burnett. 21.5 is a little fast for someone like him, but you never know. I think a 21.7 would be surprisingly fast.

This doesn't mean Hayden will be the best sprinter in the world comes Dubai. Who will be? Depends a lot on who shows up. (Cielo?) Hayden has already pretty much confirmed he's not.David Riederhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00037990522293462619noreply@blogger.com
